This course will examine the world with a specific focus on the understanding of Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, Asia and Africa.  The fascinating customs, lifestyles and beliefs of cultures in the global community will be examined.  The geography of a region, its economic characteristics and its place and relevance in the world today will also be analyzed in the efforts of the class to understand other lands, people, beliefs, customs and ways of life.  This class concentrates generally on the modern world from the 20th century to today.
